Sunsets and Snorkeling on the Morning Star

MSCIf you are planning to snorkel while you are in Key Largo, and why wouldn’t you be (!), a trip to Molassses Reef with Captain Rick on the Morning Star is the way to go.  No crowds (a maximum of 6 passengers), a friendly, professional and experienced Captain and some of the best snorkeling we’ve seen (and we’ve snorkeled a lot of places – believe me!).   If snorkeling isn’t your thing you could always go out on the Morning Star for a sunset sail.  A two hour sail against the best of backdrops with champagne to drink – perfect!  If you are staying with us at Kawama, it’s as convenient as it could be: just a few minutes walk right on Ocean Bay Drive!  Don’t miss a chance to do this when you’re staying with us.

Manatees at The Pier

manateeYou never know what you might see at Kawama!  The other day we went down to the pier to watch the sunset with a cocktail and we were treated to a visit by some manatees.   Three big cuties spent some time swimming around the end of the pier enjoying the sunset with us!  What a treat!
